How to publish a reel to YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok

Short answer

In Brandreel, finished reels can be posted to YouTube Shorts directly from the studio once your YouTube channel is connected. For Instagram Reels and TikTok, scan the QR code to open the reel’s share page on your phone and share it from there with the phone’s share sheet. Brandreel writes a separate caption for each platform and adds your product link to every one.

A reel only works once it’s posted. Brandreel gives you two routes: publish directly where the platform allows it, and a share page for everything else.

Captions written for each platform

Each platform rewards a different caption. The share panel has a tab each for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, with a draft written from your reel and a live character count against that platform’s limit. Add an optional product link and it’s appended to every caption.

YouTube Shorts: publish directly

Connect your YouTube channel once, then publish any vertical reel as a Short with its title and caption, choosing the visibility. Brandreel uploads the finished MP4 for you — no download, no re-upload.

Instagram Reels and TikTok: the share page

  1. Scan the QR code in the share panel with your phone.
  2. The reel opens on a fast, phone-friendly share page.
  3. Tap share, pick Instagram or TikTok, and paste the caption written for it.

The share page is also a link you can send to a client or teammate for approval — it plays the reel full-screen and offers the MP4 download. Share pages aren’t indexed by search engines.

Download for everything else

LinkedIn, X, your website, ads managers: download the MP4 and the SRT captions file and upload them wherever you need. Finished renders are stored durably, so download links keep working.

Questions

Can Brandreel post directly to Instagram and TikTok?
Direct posting to Instagram and TikTok depends on those platforms approving the integration for your studio. Until then, the phone share page gets the reel and its caption into either app in a few taps.
Why isn’t my product link clickable on Instagram or TikTok?
Instagram and TikTok don’t make links in captions clickable. Brandreel still adds the link to every caption, but also put it in your profile bio.
