How to make a brand reel from one sentence

Short answer

To make a brand reel with Brandreel, describe your product in one sentence, pick a format (9:16 or 16:9), a tone and a look, choose voiceover and a budget, then click Create reel. Brandreel drafts the scenes, script, voiceover, music and up to three AI hero clips, renders an MP4, and keeps every change you ask for as a new version you can download, share or publish.

A brand reel is a short, vertical video that tells people what you make and why it matters, in your colours and your voice. With Brandreel, you write the brief and the studio does the production: script, scenes, narration, music, AI hero clips, captions and the final MP4.

1. Write the brief

Open the studio and fill in What’s the reel about? One or two sentences is enough. Good briefs name the product, the audience and the single takeaway. If you’re stuck, read how to write a reel brief that works.

2. Pick a format, tone and look

  • Format: Vertical 9:16 (1080×1920) for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts; Horizontal 16:9 (1920×1080) for YouTube, websites and presentations. See 9:16 vs 16:9.
  • Tone: Bold, Friendly, Luxury or Playful. It steers the script, pacing and music.
  • Look: a preset such as Drop Day, Atelier, Night Market or Studio Cut that sets colours, fonts and grade — or let the AI choose.

3. Choose how the reel speaks

AI voiceover narration reads the script, timed to each scene. A talking presenter puts a person on screen who speaks your lines — useful for testimonials and founder intros. Word-by-word captions can be burned in later from the editor. More in AI voiceover and captions for reels.

4. Set a budget

Every paid step — drafting, voice, music, AI hero clips and the render — is priced, and the panel next to the slider shows exactly what your budget buys. A $5 budget covers the draft (~$0.20), voiceover (~$0.03), an AI music track (~$0.40), three AI hero clips (~$0.70 each) and the 1080p render ($0.10), and keeps $2.17 for changes. Spending stops at the budget.

5. Create, review and revise

Click Create reel. Brandreel drafts the scenes, generates the media and renders the first version. Watch it, then ask for changes in plain words — “punchier opening”, “swap scene 3 for a close-up of the bottle”, “end on the price”. Every request becomes a new version, so you can always go back.

Prefer hands-on control? Open the editor to reorder scenes, rewrite headlines, change timing and transitions, upload your own footage, or switch the same project between 9:16 and 16:9.

6. Download, share or publish

Download the MP4 (720p, 1080p or 4K, loudness-normalised for social) and its SRT captions file. Post straight to YouTube Shorts, or scan the QR code to open the reel on your phone and share it to Instagram Reels or TikTok with a caption written for each platform. The full walkthrough is in publishing reels to Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Questions

How long does it take to make a reel with Brandreel?
Writing the brief takes a minute. The draft, AI clips and render then run on the server, usually a few minutes depending on how many AI hero clips and which quality you choose.
Do I need video-editing skills?
No. You direct with plain decisions — the brief, format, tone, look and change requests. The motion design lives in Brandreel’s templates. The editor is there if you want to fine-tune scenes by hand.
What does a reel cost?
You set a budget per reel, from $0.50 to $25. A first cut with script, voiceover, an AI music track, three AI hero clips and a 1080p render is about $2.83; 30% of the budget is kept for the changes you ask for.
